Membership and billing
How do I cancel?
In the app, open Settings (the gear in your library) → Membership → Manage subscription, then Cancel. Or open your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Boardroom Cue. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. If you cancel during the free trial, you pay nothing.
How does the free trial work?
The annual plan starts with 7 days free for anyone who hasn’t had a trial before. Before you start, the app shows the exact dates: today, the day of your reminder, and the day the annual price begins. If you allow notifications, we remind you two days before the trial ends. The monthly plan has no trial.
When does my membership renew?
Settings → Membership shows your plan and the date it renews or ends. During a trial it also shows the last day to cancel without paying.
I paid but the app still shows the paywall
Tap Restore purchases, on the paywall or in Settings → Membership. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy, then try again with a working internet connection.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, choosing Boardroom Cue.
Recording
Which voice commands are there?
While the recorder is open: “start” (or “action”, “go”, “rolling”), “stop” (or “cut”, “done”, “finish”), “again” (or “retake”, “one more”), “back”, “faster” and “slower”. Say them as a short phrase on their own. “Again” starts a new take from the paragraph you were reading.
How do I make the script follow my voice?
In the recorder, tap the waveform button. The script then moves with what you say instead of scrolling at a fixed speed. You can set the speed, text size, reading line and mirroring in the recorder or in Settings.
Can I control it from my Apple Watch?
Yes. Open Boardroom on your Apple Watch to record, stop, start again, and change the speed.
How do I use it on iPhone Duo?
Boardroom Cue is designed for iPhone Duo: the script can appear on the outer screen while the main camera records, so you read at eye level with the best lens. On other iPhones, the script sits just under the front camera.
What happens if a call comes in while I record?
The take stops and is saved straight away, with a note saying why. Nothing you recorded is lost. If the app is ever closed unexpectedly, the take is recovered into its project the next time you open the app.
Your videos and data
Where are my recordings stored?
Only on your iPhone, inside the app. They are not uploaded and are left out of iCloud and computer backups. To keep a video beyond this phone, save it to Photos or Files, or share it.
How do I edit and send a video?
Open a take and choose Edit and send. Clean up removes filler words and long pauses and trims the start and end; tap any word in the transcript to cut it or bring it back. Choose how to send it (investor update, LinkedIn, client message or team) and export. Your original take is never changed.
Why is Draft turned off?
Draft writes on the phone with Apple Intelligence. It needs an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings. Everything else in the app works on any iPhone with iOS 26 or later.
How do I delete everything?
Settings → Delete everything removes every project, script and take from the phone. Deleting the app does the same. This can’t be undone.
